SiGi Type-C Smart card reader Multi-functional Card reader for Phone,Tablets and Computer

I just bought a new MacBook Air and was totally confused that it did not have any port for a card reader or thumb drive. Yikes! I was used to my old MacBook Pro and was confounded about how to use my thumb drive back up and view my camera cards. Yeah, I admit it. I am not that savvy about computers, being a old geezer and all. But slowly the light bulb went off and I realized two things: 1. I should have paid more attention to my computer purchase specs and 2. Apple would not have made a computer that did not have a way to use/adapt a card reader or thumb drive. Duh. Anyway, I read up on the usb-c port and started shopping for an adapter. Then I saw this little gadget and just had to have it. It works great! Very happy I found wonderful little all-in-one adapter because with my memory keeping up with a bunch of different attachments is kind of a pain.

This is just what I needed to continue to use my other cords and card readers with my new MacBook Pro. I was happy that the color is almost exactly a match the the laptop color. So far a great little product with a sleek look.

The kids are all grown and I finally have time to clear off all the extra or not so good pictures from my digital camera but they are hard to see on my camera screen. This card reader is perfect as it lets me pop in one of my many SD cards and plug into my tablet. There is no software to download - just plug in into the c port and the cord is just the right length and not obnoxiously long. This handy device has made it so much easier to review my thousands of photos!

The SiGi USB C to SD Card Reader was exactly what I needed. I have been using the Hyper Drive and it works well usually, however, it is very sensitive and becomes disconnected a lot. The Hicober reader is connected very firmly and I don't have a problem with it disconnecting. I do video editing and I'm storing my Stock Video, Music, Animations, and etc. on a 400gb and 200gb sd cards and I plan to leave both card and my USB mouse dongle in the reader all the time. Wow, very convenient. I love it so far!

Just what I need to transfer files between two sd cards without having to save on my laptop and switching sd card. I can have 2 cards in at the same time with an additional USB slot.

Great little card reader! I've tested it on my laptop, phone and tablet with sd and micro sd cards and usb flash drives and all work as advertised.

I recently bought a new MacBook that doesn't have the SD reader or USB ports so I needed a way to upload my photos without paying a ton for an Apple adapter. I was worried at first that I'd have problems with it because it's not an Apple product but it works just fine.

It doesn't click when you plug in the SD card and you have really push USB plugs in so that it'll connect but other than that, I love it! And it came in mint condition.

My Macbook Air finally kicked the bucket after years of use. For the longest time we vacillated on whether to purchase a new computer at all, and if we did, if I should just go with a "super cheap" Windows laptop for our very simple needs. Christmas time came around, and the price difference for what you'd get just didn't make jumping back to Windows a sound decision. The issues were all in the ports, however.

While my old computer had USB 2.0 ports as well as a flash card memory reader, my new laptop had neither of these ports. This was a bummer as I needed both - one for an external hard drive to back things up, but also so that I could use my external document scanner. After searching for a bit on Amazon, I came across this one and decided to give it a go, and have not been disappointed.

Something that I cannot do is benchmarking the devices through this device into the new laptop vs the old one. Even if I could get the new computer's benchmarks, however, I would have nothing to compare it with since the old computer is no more. It's at least fast enough to do what I need it to do, and without error.

I'll leave this review as simple as possible by saying this has worked flawlessly in transferring data for sporatic Time Machine backups to my external hard drive, and has worked flawlessly transferring scans from our Doxie branded scanner. This was worth the few bucks it cost me, is a nice small size even if you needed it for travel purposes, and prevented me from having to spend a lot more on something that had way too many ports compared with my needs. This is well worth the cost.
